Patient reviews
“I went to Freedom Dental firstly on a Deal Rush voucher. I found the team to be totally professional and genuine in every aspect. Prices are very good by comparison to other Dublin Dentists. The quality of their work is as good if not better than I have received in other Dentists around the world. I would recommend Freedom Dental to everyone with no hesitation.”
“Excellent service. Really happy with the result. No hard sell telling me I need extra work done..just did what I asked.”
Teeth whitening questions
Does teeth whitening hurt during the procedure?
Our kit is used at home. Temporary tooth sensitivity or gum irritation can occur. Contact your dentist if symptoms are severe or persistent.
Is the first consultation free?
Yes. Your initial consultation is free. Your dentist checks your smile and explains whether our custom home kit is suitable.
Who is not a good candidate for teeth whitening?
Whitening is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Gum disease, untreated cavities and exposed roots need assessment first. Crowns, veneers and fillings do not whiten.
How to whiten teeth?
Start with a dental assessment. Our home kit includes custom trays and professional whitening gel, with instructions tailored to your teeth.
Do teeth whitening trays from the dentist work?
Custom trays hold whitening gel against your teeth. Use them as prescribed by your dentist. Results depend on your starting shade and the cause of staining.
How long does teeth whitening last?
Results can last several months to a few years, depending on your habits and oral hygiene. Your dentist can advise on touch-ups.
Is teeth whitening safe?
Dentist-supervised whitening is generally safe when used as directed. Your teeth and gums are assessed first, but sensitivity or gum irritation can still occur.
Do teeth whitening strips work?
Some strips can lighten natural teeth, but fit, strength and results vary. Ask your dentist whether strips or a custom tray kit suit your needs.
Can yellow teeth become white?
Yellow staining can respond to whitening. The result depends on its cause and your natural tooth shade. Your dentist will explain what to expect.
Do teeth whitening kits work?
Professional home kits can lighten natural teeth when used as prescribed. Custom trays, suitable gel and dental guidance help you follow the treatment correctly.
What to eat after teeth whitening?
The clinic recommends lighter foods, such as chicken, fish, rice and pasta, for 48 hours after whitening. Follow your dentist's aftercare advice.
Is teeth whitening permanent?
No. Teeth can become stained again over time. Good oral hygiene and dentist-advised touch-ups can help maintain your result.
How to cure sensitive teeth after whitening?
Pause treatment and contact your dentist. They may recommend a desensitising toothpaste or adjust your treatment. Get advice if symptoms are severe or persist.
How long does teeth whitening take?
Our home treatment typically takes 1 to 2 weeks. Your dentist will specify how long to wear the trays each day or overnight.
Is bleaching teeth bad?
Bleaching can be suitable under dental supervision. Use the prescribed gel and wear time; overuse or unsuitable products can irritate teeth and gums.
How does teeth bleaching work?
Whitening gels usually contain peroxide, which breaks down stain molecules and lightens natural teeth. Your dentist selects a suitable treatment for you.
Can you drink tea while bleaching teeth?
The clinic recommends avoiding tea, coffee, red wine and cola during treatment and for 48 hours afterwards. Follow your dentist's instructions.
